Favorite Types of Candy

After going through our records, we were shocked to find that we never discussed our favorite types of candy! As I’m sure you’ll be able to tell, sweet tooths run in the family! J Especially when it comes to chocolate!

Mark—My top three favorite types of candy are Peanut M & M’s, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, and chocolate with almonds.

Betsy—Lately, dark chocolate has been a favorite. But sometimes I’m in the mood for m&m’s (plain), and I always enjoy candy kisses. As far as candy bars, I’ve always been partial to Snickers, because it really satisfies. J

Bianca—If it has chocolate, it is likely going to be a favorite for me! J My absolute favorite candy is Reese’s Peanut Butter cups. I also like Mounds, Paydays, Milky Way bars, 100 Grand’s, M & M’s (peanut and regular) Werthers original caramels, and soft peppermints.

Ben—My favorite candy is Twix chocolate bars. I also like Kit Kats and Snickers.

Rubia—My absolute favorite candy in the whole world is Almond Joys! I also like Reese’s Peanut Butter cups, and I like mints.

Roma—I like anything with chocolate! I like Kit Kats, Twix, Hershey’s, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Josiah—My favorite type of candy is Twix bars. I also like Kit Kats a lot.

  1. I agree with your candy choices. One interesting part of adding sisters-in-law to our family is that we've discovered that most of our family has similar candy likes and dislikes. But, sisters-in-law sometimes like candy that no one else likes. For example, Judith loves Butterfingers. For the rest of us Butterfingers are just okay. So, we trade our Butterfingers with Judith.

We still haven't found anyone who's really fond of Tootsie Rolls, though.

  3. I thought Josiah's choice would be marshmallows :)
My favorite candy is Romalo's sponge candy. Second favorite is candy corn.

  6. I love it when I find someone who is willing to trade candy, Amy! Everyone in our family knows that we can trade Rubia Almond Joys for just about any other candy we want! It will be fun when we add in-laws to our family to see if their candy choices are similar to ours.

  7. I was starting to crave sweets while we typed up this post too, Sarah! :-) We really enjoyed the chocolate covered candy corn that our grandparents brought for us this week. It satisfied my craving for awhile!

  8. I guess Josiah doesn't really think of marshmallows as candy, Aunt Debbie. But he does love them! I can't believe we forgot sponge candy, candy corn, and especially Grandpa's fudge! We weren't even thinking of those types of candy when we posted this!

  9. Oh Grandpa, your fudge doesn't even belong in this category! We can't even compare it with the candies we mentioned in this post. It deserves its own place in the realm of sweet treats! :-) It even deserves its own blog post; look for that on Monday!

  12. I never knew there was a coffee Werthers candy, Judith. Perhaps the coffee-loving members of the family will try them in the future!
