Ben's Birthday Pictures

Yesterday I (finally) took Ben’s birthday pictures! Even though it’s been a good while since his birthday, the timing worked out well. Last week, the temperatures stuck in the 100’s almost all week. At that temperature, you literally break a sweat just sitting outside. Obviously, that’s not the most ideal set of circumstances for taking nice pictures! J But this week we are enjoying temperatures in the 80’s, which are far more tolerable. I actually laughed, because the temperature was almost the same as when I took Josiah’s pictures back in April! Rather unusual . . .

Ben’s one location request was the train tracks. The two of us hopped into the car and headed over to the tracks for a few shots, keeping our eyes and ears open for trains all the while. J
One reason I love shooting with my siblings is that we aren’t on a timetable (usually) and they’ll often throw in some great ideas along with mine. Ben saw this overgrown drive and asked if I could get a shot of him walking towards the camera. It turned out to be one of my favorite shots! He’s turned into such a man!
While these juniper trees made a great photo spot, we both came away with sticky hands from all the sap!
Wall of green.
Sitting on our fence.
Ben’s only pose request was one that showcased his boots. J
One of my favorite shots from our session.

    All are great pics, though.

  2. Thanks for your comment, Olivia! Texas does have some beautiful spots for photos. It can be a bit of a challenge to find the good spots, with good lighting, and not too much wind! But that's part of the fun! :-)
