The day of our 1st Annual Cobbler
Party had finally arrived! The day passed by quickly as last-minute
preparations were finished.
Now
you can see what the mysterious straw bales were for. J
Decorating our entryway!

Please
excuse the fact that this picture is tilted. We had some decorations on our
porch as well.
|
Our
garage was probably the most popular spot with the guests. It felt like we were
outside, but we were sheltered from the elements!
|
Josiah
was in charge of games for the kids, and he had fun buying and filling a piƱata
for them! It was a hit (literally! J)
|
Our
kitchen was always pleasantly crowded as people sampled cobblers, chatted, and
enjoyed jazz music.
|
Towards
the end of the party, I had fun playing some piano tunes with the kids.

When all was said and done, we had almost 90
people come out for the party despite the rain! We were so glad for the
opportunity to have so many people over, and hopefully encourage them! We are
really looking forward to making this an annual tradition. So if any of you are
looking for a reason to visit Texas, this is a good one! J
Every October!
That looks like lots of fun (and work)!! :) Too bad the weather wasn't the best but I'm sure the Lord had a reason for it! :) I don't know if I'll be heading towards TX anytime next October but we shall see. :) I do have relatives that just moved to Alabama which is closer to TX than Virginia...you never know- something might work out! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope y'all are having a wonderful day!
In Christ,
Alexis
It was very fun, Alexis! Even though the rain was a bit inconvenient, we really did need it!
ReplyDeleteWe would LOVE it if your family came to Texas! You're always welcome in our home.

WOW Bianca, That is God's Grace at work. All for His Glory and for the enjoyment of His children.
ReplyDeleteWe Love you, BiaBio
Indeed, Bia and Bio! God surely helped us in the planning of this event, and He blessed our time of Fellowship!
