Our blog name and the meaning behind it was
something that was deliberated on for a long time before we began blogging. We
explain a bit about the name on our “Welcome” page. Here is an excerpt from that
page:
“The name of our blog is based off
Isaiah 40:31 (“But those who hope in the
LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will
run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”) We have chosen this
Bible verse because we want to encourage others to hope in the Lord, who is the
giver of true strength; to attempt great things for the Lord and to ‘soar on
wings like eagles’ in their aspirations and in their daily walk with the Lord.”
I also think Dad suggested a name with Eagle
in it because of his connection with flying. J Whenever Dad goes
flying, he calls us once he has landed, with the message “The Eagle has landed!”
So it’s a common reference in our household! J
