Getting ready to dig
into our lunch. One cannot stuff shoeboxes on an empty stomach! J

We
had a big lunch of country chicken corn chowder, stuffed pepper soup, bread and
butter, crackers, soda, hot mulled cider, and too many different types of
desserts to mention. We Baptists know how to do a potluck lunch. J
After we had eaten and
visited, we got down to business. We have gotten this down to a science. We
packed all 18 shoeboxes in half an hour!

After
we stuffed the shoe boxes we stayed around and visited for quite awhile. It’s
such a blessing to have so many opportunities to spend time with our church
family. I’m going to miss them all so much when we move, but I trust God has
many new friends waiting for us in Texas!

we've done those in the past. We've thought about doing something similar to that with Bright Lights: stuffing large bags for persecuted Christians with the same kinds of things.
That's a really neat idea, Lydia! I think that would be a really good project for the Bright Lights group! I'm sorry that I'll probably miss it though. You'll have to send me pictures!
