August 22 was the sad day when we had to
leave Michigan. L
Our two weeks had flown by far too fast.

Before
we left our friend’s cottage, we girls kept our tradition of coloring rocks for
each other to commemorate our time together.

Once
we finally parted ways and headed south, Ben drove us part of the way. It was
my first time riding in the car with him driving. I have to say that he did
quite well!

For
lunch, we stopped for sandwiches at Arby’s.
|
It was taking us a good while to get to St.
Louis (our stopping point for the night). So instead of waiting to get into our
hotel and then going out to dinner, we opted to stop at Cracker Barrel along
the way.

We made it to our hotel and crashed pretty
quickly. Traveling can really wear a person out! We had some fun plans for the
next day though . . .
