Dear readers, you shall have to excuse us from the blog for a few days. We woke up on Saturday morning (January 8) to find that we had a house flood during the night. So right now our house is in upheaval trying to dry out the upstairs wood flooring, carpet, dry-wall, and ceiling tiles in the basement. We will “be back” in a few days hopefully with pictures and better news on the situation.
“We have a flood downstairs!”
“Well, that could be a problem.”

So sorry to hear that you had flooding in your home! I hope you are able to get everything taken care of quickly and that there won't be much damage.
I agree Amy, the sky is very striking in the picture! I took the picture during a storm that turned into a tornado back in April 2008.
While the sky may have been beautiful, I can gurantee that the flood wasn't!

Thank you for your comment, Sarah! Unfortunately, the damage was more extensive than we realized. It will be at least 3 weeks (if not longer) to restore things to "normal." But everything is nearly dried out, so now the reconstruction can begin!
