Recipe--Banana Boats

On one of their cooking nights recently, the twins made this easy dessert. These banana boats would probably taste delicious cooked over a campfire! Feel free to experiment a little with cooking them in the oven too. Whatever suits your liking and gets the chocolate and marshmallow nice and melted, works! This recipe is great for little kids to help with!

Banana Boats

1 banana, peeled
1/8 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/8 cup mini marshmallows

Split each banana length wise, making sure not to cut all the way through the other side. Stuff with chocolate chips and marshmallows.

Wrap in aluminum foil. Arrange on a baking sheet.

Bake at 300 degrees for 5 minutes. Serves 1. Enjoy!

This recipe brings back memories. I used to make these at Girl Scout camp. We would put our wrapped up bananas in the coals of the campfire. They were a tasty treat!!
