Ben's Rite of Passage Part 3

After all the preparation and the ceremony, we enjoyed a fellowship dinner following Ben’s Rite of Passage!

Mommy did a wonderful job decorating the church. This is the dessert and gifts table.

And the drinks table. I loved all of the posters she put up!

The plates and flatware table.

Ben received so many nice gifts. He has enough books to keep him busy for an entire year now! J

Good friends of ours who helped a lot with setting things up immediately before the dinner.

The cake and oatmeal raisin cookies, along with some homegrown zinnias.

Once the men finished, we all came out and prayed before the food.

Waiting in line.

We enjoyed a delicious meal of nachos! We had beans, beef, nacho cheese, tomatoes, salsa, cilantro, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, onions, jalapenos, hot sauce, and chili powder to go with the chips. Plus we had carrots, grapes, candy corn, and drinks. It was very filling!

The men enjoying the meal together. (You can ignore Ben’s funny face. J)

We had fellowship. . .

. . . and more fellowship!

My little cousin REALLY liked his cake as I’m sure you can tell. J

The desserts.

And that concludes our posts on Ben’s Rite of Passage! We had a wonderful weekend and we’re so glad to welcome another man to our household.

Some of us were starting to get sick of nachos after all of the leftovers, Amy! :-) But they were very tasty!
