Last Thursday, our family had a
“school-on-the-road” day. Our church was having an open house for their
newly-launched café. We wanted to stop by and support them. But we ended up
making a day out of it!
I was grateful to be able to join the family
on their fun day. I came a little late because I had a coaching call for
College Plus, but I didn’t miss too much, thankfully. J
Enjoying
fellowship with friends, a good game of chess, and some school work.

After spending some time at church, we headed
over to the library for a couple of hours. Some of us worked on school while
others looked at books. Then we headed home for the rest of the afternoon.
But . . . we didn’t stay long. J
Our two home-away-from-home students have a light term in January, so we’ve
been doing more with them before their “real” school semester kicks off in
February. They thought it would be fun to go roller skating!

Skating
is always a popular activity with us kids! We had lots of fun that night. We
were super proud of Mom; she skated for the first time EVER! She did awesome. J

And that was our Thursday! A fun little break
in our normal routine.
