Our family got to ring in the New Year from
home, yet again! After spending Christmas with extended family, we enjoy having
a more intimate celebration at home for New Year’s.
On
New Year’s Eve, we had a special dinner of Hawaiian
Sweet Roll Sammies, chips and salsa, veggies with dip, grapes, pretzel
salad, peanut M&M’s (leftover from Christmas) and Coca
Cola Cake. It was good!

After
we ate, we played a board game in front of the fire. “Aggravation” has quickly
become a family favorite! J

At 11 p.m. our time, we were all in the den
in front of the TV. We watched the ball drop in Times Square and shouted with
loud jubilation at the arrival of the New Year. Even though it hadn’t come to
Texas yet. J
After
a late night, we slept in and then had our New Year’s Day brunch! French
Toast Casserole is an annual treat around here!

New Year’s Day was spent working on projects
and relaxing. It was nice to have a quiet holiday at home as a family!
