I have learned that I will almost never
regret choosing to spend time with people, over doing a task. Christ is really
my example in this. In the 4 gospels, He is almost never alone. He constantly
invested in relationships. He didn’t travel far or do a lot of “things” during
His time on earth, but if He was a perfect human being, obviously He did what
was most important.
I am not so much task-driven as I am
list-driven. I like to have all my boxes checked at the end of the day. But I’ve
had to grow and learn flexibility and remind myself that everything will get
done eventually, even if it doesn’t happen today. People are always more
important than things or tasks!
