In early June, we had our second annual “Bright Lights Picnic” at our leader’s house. This picnic is our last official get-together for the school year. We enjoyed traditional picnic-fare of hotdogs, lots of salads, fruit, and a few desserts.
The Moms enjoyed eating on the screened-in porch while the girls chose to eat out in the yard. |
This little guy scared many a young lady running through the lawn! J Luckily, he is pretty well protected with that shell. |
After dinner, we enjoyed a time of testimonies from several young ladies. I was also able to share a story called “The Fence Dwellers” from the book “Raising Maidens of Virtue” by Stacy McDonald. |
After that we were free to enjoy some time of fellowship. I played volleyball with some of the girls while the twins jumped on the trampoline. It was a very special evening and we all look forward to beginning Bright Lights again in the fall!

Sounds like fun.
It was indeed a lot of fun, Amy! We love spending time with the dear friends we've made through the Bright Lights ministry.
