Volleyball Camp

A couple of weeks ago, my sisters and I participated in a volleyball camp sponsored by a local homeschool league. Many of our homeschooling friends have played in this league and recommended the camp to us. We thoroughly enjoyed it and our skills have definitely improved since participating!

The first day we learned the basics of bumping (passing), setting, and serving.
The second day we worked on drills to help us improve in the aforementioned basics.
On day three we practiced serving and spiking.
One drill we did on day three involved dropping a ball for your partner on the floor to set. It involved trust! J
Day three I was crowned “Queen of the Court” after playing a fun game. One person sits in a chair on the court and the others try to bump the ball to the “Queen.” After you bumped the ball to the queen, you got to sit in the chair and be the “Queen” until someone else bumped the ball to you. The person who sat in the chair most often was crowned “Queen of the Court.” It was lots of fun! Do you like my tiara?
Sisters and Teammates!
