Deep Cleaning

One of our projects for the summer was to deep clean our house, *hopefully* from top to bottom. We especially wanted to do this because of the mess that was made during our house flood earlier this year. We decided to start in the kitchen, since that was the epicenter of our flood drama, and was also where the multiple sandings of our hardwood floor took place.
Ben cleaned around the windows with Murphy’s Oil Soap and dusted the soffits above.
He also took down the wooden blinds and vacuumed them.
The twins deep cleaned our refrigerator inside and out. It was quite a task!
Josiah helped wash windows and wipe down walls, while I cleaned three other soffits in our kitchen and washed fake greenery. Later in the week, we also used Murphy’s Oil Soap to clean the cabinets, drawers, and baseboards; used 409 Cleaner to wash the doors to the closet and garage, vacuumed the screens of the garage door and windows, and emptied and cleaned out the pantry thoroughly. One room down and lots more to go!

Cleaning the kitchen is always a big job!

What a blessing to have all of your family pitch in to help with such a BIG job. It does feel good to have everything spick and span when you've finished the job. May God bless you and give you all energy as you work to complete the rest of the house.

It is indeed a big job, Amy! But we started with that first so that the worst would be behind us. :-)

Thank you for your comment, Anonymous! It does feel quite good to clean away all of the accumulated dirt and be left with a clean room. Thanks for your prayers for energy; cleaning can be very tiring work!
