Recipe--Peach Cobbler

We were so excited when the Michigan peaches finally came in. We’ve been waiting for them since the middle of July (the whole growing season is behind up here in Michigan due to a very wet spring.) One of our favorite treats to make with the fresh peaches is cobbler. This recipe is very simple, and reminds me so much of the peach cobbler my Grandma makes. And we all know that anything Grandma makes is GOOOOOD! J

Peach Cobbler

 6 peaches, peeled and sliced
1-1/2 cups sugar, divided
1 stick butter
1 cup self rising flour
1 cup milk

Add 1/2 cup of sugar to the peaches. Stir and refrigerate for 2 hours. After 2 hours has passed, heat oven to 400°F. Melt butter in 9 x 13 glass pan. Whisk together flour, milk, and 1 cup sugar until smooth. Pour into pan on top of melted butter. Put peaches on top and bake until brown (about 30 minutes). Makes 8-10 generous servings. Top with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
