First Tomatoes
Last week we harvested our very first tomatoes!!! I was very excited and it took every ounce of self-control not to pop them all in my mouth before I had a chance to weigh them. I harvested 6 Sweet 100’s and 2 Early Girls. The sweet 100’s tasted like candy, they were so sweet!

Yay! It's always exciting to harvest the first tomatoes, isn't it? And it sounds like they were certainly enjoyed!
It is definitely exciting to harvest the first tomatoes, Sarah! Especially since the plants are healthy this year (last year I had fungal problems.) And yes, they were indeed enjoyed! :-)

When you have enough tomatoes, you should make gazpacho! We had some tonight - delicious!
I'm sure that your gazpacho was delicious, Technoprairie! We never seem to accumulate enough tomatoes to make anything out of them. We eat them out of hand too fast! :-)
